French inspired details on a Modern French home. A lot of back and forth with the homeowner on how bold to be with these panels. I found myself constantly calling and asking her... “Are you sure about this?” #goodtimes
While 2020 flew by for me, the holidays are really taking their time to get here. 🙄Zoom in to see the vents on the sides of the built-ins if you want to be distracted as you count the hours before Thursday.
But seriously, we’re at war folks. War with the British in how to spell the word “gray/grey.
Who else finds themselves constantly deciding which way to spell it? I finally looked it up as I was typing up this post. Apparently, they’re both correct. Just remember this: grAy is for America & grEy is for England....
Be sure to add B.M. Stormy Monday to your list of favorite grays. It’s a keeper. We’ve done it in several jobs now and I even painted my front door in it.
This @the_fox_group_ job was done in a hand brushed gloss.
As I was meeting with the homeowner and @the_fox_group_ to begin drawing up this closet design, there were whispers of an animal mount above the “throne” in a really dark closet with sconces flanking the throne and I just knew I was going to be in love....
See today’s story to appreciate the disguising we did on this sink cabinet. Dishwasher on the right, and a “Costco” door on the left. Not sure who coined that phrase, but I like it.
For those of you that are a little confused... a Costco door is a direct access from the garage to a pantry to unload groceries and items much quicker. (And for those with bad taste, or maybe just the misfortune of not being near a Costco, you might call it a “Sam’s Club” door.)🙄 (And those of you in other countries.... just call it an “American” door. 🇺🇸
This tower was scribed, fitted, and attached to the house permanently like a typical cabinet, but it was designed to look like a piece of furniture. The feet were inspired by Queen Anne furniture but with a bulkier, more squared look. A nice addition for the dead corner space.
Colors: BM Olympic Mountain with BM Indian River on the inside.
A pantry with a Wolf steam oven and microwave at stomach height, SubZero Pro-48 fridge/freezer, deep & tall drawers on the bottom, tall pantry pullouts flanking the fridge, hidden corner nook for countertop appliances, sink and a swing out trash can below. Calling it a pantry is almost offensive.
Master bath we did with @the_fox_group_
Lots of trims and panels coming together. #organizedchaos
We pushed the toekick back a little further to strike a good balance of ‘easy to clean’ and ‘feels like it’s a furniture piece with feet.’ It also helps hide the custom air vents (you can barely see one under the right vanity)
